Might I ask you how you did the colors in the eye? I want to color in some of my art, but when I do color it and want to add more the base color is to strong. It would me a lot to me if you respond, Thank!
What I usually do is start in the outside and move inwards. I'll do the very light parts as light as possible and then do the darker parts. If I feel the light is too light I`ll go back and make that a bit darker and just keep adding till it looks right. Never start dark. Even the blackest blacks truly are not black. Except pupils they are literally holes in the eye so make those dark.I should have made darker pupils in this picture to make the eyes pop. Remember its easy to make things darker, but not vice versa.
Awe shucks Lells You gone make me blush. Thank you! I wanted to brush up on traditional work before school started and this was born. I was surprised so many people liked it. I has blown all of my other pictures out of the water on the favourite spectrum. I guess after spending so long doing digital work must have also helped my traditional too.
I can see why- they turned out amazing! If you're looking for fairly good colored pencils that aren't too pricey though, I've had the greatest experience working with Prismacolor colored pencils . They have a lot better quality than the generic brand, and are quite inexpensive considering they could be compared to the fabled Faber Castell brand.
